Dr. Jan Scott Miller, D.D.S., M.A.G.D. (Master of the Academy of General Dentistry) has a reputation in the community for bringing exceptional expertise, humor and compassion to his patients. He sees one patient at a time, giving his undivided attention and making the patient feel at ease. To help foster that level of comfort, he explains, "I am an extremely good listener which is the key to excellence to everything and of course in dentistry. I address every concern and question that my patients have."
He is the attending at St. Charles and Mather Hopitals, teaching the Dental Residents. He is a member of the American Dental Association (which includes New York Dental Association and Suffolk County Dental Society), the Academy of Sleep Medicine, the International Association of Orthodontics, as well as other dental organizations.
His practice covers all phases of General Dentistry including treatment for snoring and sleep apnea, temporal mandibular joint dysfunction, placement and restoration of implants, adult orthodontics including Invisalign and whitening and cosmetic treatments.
He lectures on the effects of snoring and sleep apnea at his office and at Mather's Sleep Centers Support Group as well as for community groups. For a schedule please contact his office.
He is a volunteer for Good Shephard Hospice making house calls to those hospice patients needing dental care. He also volunteers for Tomorrow's Children Fund and other local charities.
